Baked Falafel with Tahini Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Falafel:
- 2 cups of canned chickpeas, drained
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Tahini Sauce:
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
For the Falafel:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place all the falafel ingredients in a food processor and blend until a coarse mixture forms.
- Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, flipping the falafel halfway through until they are crispy and golden.
For the Tahini Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, lemon juice, water, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
Serve the baked falafel with the tahini sauce and your choice of pita bread or salad.
